Scorpio (Scorpius)

Scorpio, usually mentioned regarding Orion, is one of the oldest constellations know, possibly even one of the original six signs of the Zodiac. Scorpio is also a very bright constellation and is fairly large.

Gaia was the God who sent the scorpion to kill Orion, maybe because of the fact that he vowed to get rid of all of the wild animals of the earth. The scorpion later chased Orion across the heavens, but it could never catch him.
