| You might think that the most populated species in the rainforest are the humans or some type of animal, think again. They've lived there for millions of years. They are called insects. Yes, insects. They're probably the most adapted to their surroundings. They are not only in the rainforest, but found on every continent except Antarctica! The most annoying insect is probably the mosquito. They have a big appetite for blood, but only the females do. Surprisingly, there are more ants than any other animal in the rainforest. Some kinds of ants actually live in the trees. This type of ant attacks vines that could hurt the tree, in return the tree gives it a home inside the tree's thorns.
