This Eastham windmill is believed to be the oldest on Cape Cod.  This old mill was probably built in the early 1680šs in Plymouth.  Then it was taken across the bay to Provincetown in the late 1700's.  In 1793, it was brought by road to Eastham, and then moved to its current
location on Samoset Road in about 1808.

Each summer, a guest miller instructs tourists in the
history and operation of the mill. Each fall, the residents of Eastham celebrate Windmill Weekend with a parade and activities on the Windmill Green.
