This picture shows the Nauset Coast Guard Station in Eastham. This station overlooks the supposed setting for a novel by Joseph Lincoln. The novel was called Rugged Waters, and described the careers of men who worked in the Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard Station is now used as housing for
students and community groups who come to study the natural resources of the Cape Cod National Seashore.
