I'm learning about Alaska so I think I know a lot. The capital is Juneau, the state bird is the willow ptarmigan, the state gem is jade, and the state mineral is gold. I really like your site, but I'm sorry that people write really bad things on your message board.

I've lived in alaska almost all of my life, I could never live anywhere else. Whenever I visit another state I get homesick. I live in Ketchikan, Alaska. I could never live anywhere else.

I was born and raised in Alaska. Mainly in Petersburg. Currently I reside in Washington and I hate it. I am a mother of 2. I have been here for 4 years and am relocating back to Alaska next month. Reason: The best place in the United States to raise a child. I think it is great that you have this site because it gives others a resource to see we don't live in "igloos". In fact I saw a real igloo in the Blue Mountains in Oregon last weekend. Now who lives in igloos?

This site had all the infromation I needed for my report on Alaska. My teacher has us study Alaska, and we get to have the Iditawagon which is like the iditarod only with wagons and people, and we go around the playground.

I really enjoyed your Web-site. You all did an outstanding job. I learned alot, and I appreciate it. You see I am a 29 yr. old adoptee, my biological mother was Athabascan Indian and Eskimo. However I know little of my tribe, I don't even know what Clan I belong to. If anyone out there knows about the Athabascan nation, and Eskimo's please e-mail and let me know. I would really appreciate any information. Again you did an outstanding job with your Web-site keep up the good work!

Most I have learned has been through the illustrator. I know it is cold, and its quiet a difference between here in Sth. East Texas to Alaska. It seem a nice place to visit in the summer time, but come the winter time I believe I would rather be in Sth. East Texas. Ira

Greetings from England. I have learned more about Alaska in the last half hour than in the rest of my life. (Over 60 years!) My thanks to you all. For the hard work you have put in your project, you can all be proud of yourselves. Bye!
